Cantilever half-truss design

As part of the Mechanical Engineering course, my team and I built cantilever half-truss panel using a combination of extruded aluminum flat bar tension members and hollow rectangular tube compression members. A load of 1000 pounds was applied to the end of the truss using a UTI machine and our truss was able to withstand the force with slight displacement and deflection.
